Welcome to the Hotzone Surf School Fuerteventura!

The Hotzone Surf School Fuerteventura is run by me, Oscar Schenk. I am from Holland where I have spent my time teaching people how to surf in the summers. In winter it is too cold to teach and in summer there are fewer waves. This is why I decided to move to a place which has good weather and good conditions for teaching every day.

In search for better weather I moved to the Canaries to Fuerteventura,which is the second largest island of the Canary Islands. Rising out of the Atlantic Ocean only 100 Km west of Africa, the waves are consistent with agreeable temperatures all year round. Hotzone Surf School Fuerteventura is based in the North of the island at the centre of Corralejo. The North of the island boasts a variety of beautiful beach and reef breaks, which are a challenge for any surfer in Fuerteventura.

As a team rider for Gravis and Analog I have gained 15 years of experience surfing and teaching in different places around the world. I can help you to improve your skills whether it would be on beginner level or advanced level. I will give you all the tips you need to become a better surfer,whether you use a short board or a long board either on a recreational or competitive level.

When you book your surf lesson, I guarantee that I will search for the best conditions that suit your level. In the lessons we work together to improve your level of surfing by focusing on your stance and increasing the numbers of waves that you can catch whilst surfing in Fuerteventura. This will help you improve a lot since you spent more time on your board and less time falling off.
